| Manufacturing

The illumiNITE™ manufacturing process is a
combination of advanced reflective and coating technologies.
This process allows for the production of fully
coated, breathable reflective fabric that has a
soft hand, varied colours, and multiple pattern
design possibilities. To create a reflective Reflec™
MATRIX, the illumiNITE™ process embeds millions
of microscopic sataLITE™ DISH reflectors into
the weave of the fabric. The sataLITE™ DISH
reflectors act like smooth mirrors reflecting light
back to its original source. By embedding the sataLITE™
DISH reflectors into the weave of fabric, garments
are able to withstand multiple washes without losing
their reflective integrity. In addition, sataLITE™
DISH reflectors are so small that they do not affect
the soft hand of the original fabric.

illumiNITE™products are available in a variety
of technical fabrics that are constructed for the
industrial market. To satisfy the performance minded
consumer, Reflec Plc has developed a technical moisture
management system for breathable yet wind and water-resistant
apparel and fabric. The combination of these properties
allows the professional to use illumiNITE™
products in a variety of weather conditions.

The image (Fig 2) depicted shows how the illumiNITE™
process reflects light. The illumiNITE™ process
creates a Reflec™ MATRIX of millions of sataLITE™
DISH reflectors, situated in a honeycomb layer deep
in the weave of fabric. The Reflec™ MATRIX
of sataLITE™ DISH reflectors work together
to reflect light directly back to the original light
source, which focuses and maximizes the wearer's
silhouette image for motorists.
